In Western musical theory a cadence is a particular series of intervals or chords that ends a phrase, section, or piece of music. Cadences give phrases a distinctive ending. An analogy can be made with punctuation, with some weaker cadences acting as commas, indicating a pause or momentary rest, while a stronger cadence will then act as the period, indicating the end of the phrase or musical sentence.

B'day party 09

I know that it's been a month since i celebrated my b'day... but still I thought it would be good to recollect those moments.. when I sit idle at my house during the spring break.. It was infact my first b'day away from my house and infact away from my best friends in India.. Although I had a couple of friends call me and wished on that day.. my real companions that night were my assignments and project works.. I didn't have any party that night... Infact I asked my roommate not to have one as I had to desperately complete a pending report the next day... But the next week I didn't realize that I'm to experience one of the memorable birthday celebrations of my life.. Almost the entire week was full of celebrations and dinner. My friends from Intervarsity Christian Fellowship came for a party at my place... I cooked some delicious Indian meal for them... they brought wonderful desserts for the party... also the same week.. I got to eat.. a korean dinner, an estonian dinner, an American dessert party and an authentic north Indian meal. It was certainly a wonderful time @ Stanford amidst the hectic schedule that I had during that time..
